Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) flour
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) sugar
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) cocoa
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) butter
Sauce
- 1 cup (250 ml) cold water
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons (60 ml) cocoa

- 3/4 cup (180 ml) sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons (60 ml) cocoa
Preparation
- Take 3 Mason style glass jars of 500 ml capacity. Reserve.
- Prepare the sauce. Place sugar, brown sugar, cocoa and 1 cup of water in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Pour the hot syrup equally in 3 pots. Reserve.
- For the dough, mix the dry ingredients well: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add the milk and vanilla without over mixing.
- Place 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of butter in each pot on the sauce and split the dough mix evenly. Place lids and close. Place in a big pot of boiling water covering the jars up to the rim and let cook for 45 minutes.
- After the cooking time, take the pots out using tongs and let cool.
